Help Scout

Connect a Help Scout account with a My App ID and secret.

Open Memtro

Help Scout gives Memtro your support conversations and customers: search by customer, tag, status or words in the thread, read full conversations, and see a customer's history. Agent mode uses it as the starting point for cross-referencing a ticket against the CRM, databases and billing.

  1. In Help Scout, click your avatar → Your profile → My Apps → Create My App. Give it a name; any redirect URL will do (it is not used).
  2. Copy the App ID and App Secret.
  3. On Dashboard → Connections open Help Scout → Credentials and paste both. Choose Personal (only you) or Shared (admins only; everyone in the organisation).
  4. Test & connect. Memtro requests a token with the client-credentials grant, checks it against your account, lists your mailboxes, and renews the token automatically before it expires.

The app sees every mailbox the user who created it can see.

Connect with OAuth

If the operator has registered a Help Scout OAuth app, a Sign in with Help Scout button appears instead; click it and approve.

What the model can do

ToolWhat it does
helpscout_search_conversationsby words in subject or body, customer email, tag, status, mailbox, assignee, dates, or a raw Help Scout query
helpscout_get_conversationone conversation with its threads in order, HTML stripped
helpscout_search_customers, helpscout_get_customercustomers by name, email or organisation; a profile with recent conversations
helpscout_mailboxes, helpscout_usersmailboxes with folders and counts; agents and tags, to translate ids

Try it

  • "Have a look at Help Scout ticket #2450." In agent mode Memtro reads it, then checks the customer in your CRM, their orders in connected databases, invoices in Xero or Stripe, and the last email thread before answering.
  • "Which VIP conversations have been waiting more than a day?"
  • "What has Sam Lee contacted us about this year?"

Memory

Conversations are anchored into the memory graph as tickets linked to the customer and the assigned agent; customers become people linked to their organisation. The hourly sync pulls recently modified conversations so Memtro already knows recent support history.
