AI for charities and nonprofits, across donors, grants and events
A charity's picture of a supporter is spread across the donation processor, the direct debits, the ledger, the newsletter tool, the event platform and an Airtable or two. Memtro connects to them and answers questions across them, with every figure cited, so a fundraiser can ask about a donor or a grant and the finance lead can ask about restricted funds without a spreadsheet in between.

Donors, grants, programmes and the ledger answered from one memory, with every figure cited to its record.
The systems these questions draw on, connected to one memory. Every connector reads by default; the tools that change something are granted by name, per team.
What it looks like today
- 01Who gave, through which channel, and whether they are still giving is in three systems.
- 02Grant conditions and reporting dates are in a document; the spend they govern is in the ledger.
- 03Event attendance never meets the donor record it should update.
- 04The trustees' report is assembled by hand each quarter.
- 05A major donor is thanked twice by two teams, or not at all.
- 06Programme staff and finance describe the same grant differently, because each is reading a different document.
What Memtro does about it
One memory in front of the systems you already pay for, reading by default and acting only where an administrator has granted the tool by name.
- Connect Stripe, GoCardless, PayPal, Xero, Mailchimp, Eventbrite, Typeform, Airtable, Google Workspace and Drive, and Companies House, reading by default and acting where you grant it.
- Ask about a supporter and the answer joins their donations, mandates, event attendance and correspondence, each fact cited.
- Grants and their conditions are anchored into memory, so a question about what a fund may be spent on is answered from the agreement.
- Connections are granted to named teams, so fundraising sees supporters and finance sees the ledger, and personal memory never leaks.
- Schedule jobs: lapsed regular givers each week, grant reports due in 30 days, the quarterly figures for trustees posted as a draft.
System by system
What Memtro reads in each part of the stack, and what it may change there once the tool has been granted.
Giving
Stripe, GoCardless, PayPal and Square: one-off gifts, regular mandates, failed collections, refunds and payouts, read supporter by supporter rather than payout by payout.
The ledger
Xero, QuickBooks Online or Sage Accounting: income by fund, spend against a restricted grant and the month's position, with each figure cited to its entry.
Supporter and programme records
Airtable as the supporter list or delivery tracker, with records created, updated or commented on once those tools are granted; Typeform for sign-ups, applications and surveys.
Communications
Mailchimp, Brevo or Klaviyo: appeals, opens, clicks and the income that followed each send.
Events
Eventbrite: ticket sales, attendees and totals for galas, runs and open days, matched back to who later gave.
Documents and the register
Google Workspace and Drive, or Microsoft 365, for grant agreements, policies and reports; Companies House for a corporate partner's status, officers and filings.
There are 144 connectors in all, each with its own tools, its own permissions and a page of its own. Browse every connector →
Who asks what
Fundraiser
Asks what a supporter has given, attended and been sent before writing to them, and sees who has quietly stopped.
Finance lead
Reads restricted funds and the ledger together, and can show a trustee the invoice behind any line.
Programme lead
Asks what a grant allows, what has been spent against it and what evidence the charity already holds for the next report.
Chief executive
Gets the quarter's figures as a draft with sources attached, rather than as a week of asking colleagues for numbers.
The giving year
- 01
The appeal
A send goes out and the question afterwards is one question: what it raised, from whom, and how that compares with the last one.
- 02
The gift
A weekly job names the regular givers whose mandate failed or was cancelled, with the last thing the charity sent them, while it is still a conversation rather than a loss.
- 03
The grant
Conditions and reporting dates are read from the agreement itself and kept as memory, so a question about what a fund may be spent on is answered from the document.
- 04
The report
Income by source and restricted fund balances arrive each quarter as a draft for the finance lead, every figure cited to the ledger entry behind it.
Ask it like this
Plain English, from chat, your editor, a scheduled job or your own agent. In agent mode each question also checks the other systems that know about the same people, companies and references, and the answer ends with a line per system consulted.
- Stripe
- GoCardless
- PayPal
- Xero
- Mailchimp
Every figure in the answer cites the record it came from, and the run ends with a line per system consulted.
- ›How much of the Harper Foundation grant is spent, and what does the agreement restrict it to?
- ›Who attended the spring gala and has not given since?
- ›Draft the income section of the trustees' report for Q3 from Xero, with each figure cited
- ›What has this supporter given, attended and been sent over the last three years?
- ›Which appeals this year raised the most per email sent?
- ›Which grant conditions fall due this quarter, and what evidence do we already hold?
- ›Who gave more than £500 last year and nothing this year?
Work that runs itself
A job is a prompt the agent runs on a cron schedule as its owner, with their tools and connections. Say any of these in chat and the job exists; every run's report is kept in a chat you can question.
- schedule:Every Monday 08:00: regular givers whose mandate failed or was cancelled last week
- schedule:First of the month: grant reports and conditions due in the next 30 days
- schedule:Every quarter: income by source and restricted fund balances, as a draft for the finance lead
- schedule:Every Monday 09:00: gifts over the threshold you set that have not been thanked, with the supporter's history
- schedule:Every day 09:00: failed Direct Debit collections, with the supporter and what they last gave
Questions people ask
Can it take donations or send appeals?+
Only where you grant it. Nothing is charged or sent unless an administrator has granted that tool by name and a person asks for exactly that; until then the payment and email connectors only read.
What does it cost a small charity?+
One price per organisation by how many people use it, from the smallest tier, with connectors, jobs and memory never counted. Model usage is billed by the provider you bring keys for.
How is supporter data protected?+
Each fact is classified personal or shared, connections are granted to named teams, credentials are encrypted at rest, and a request to be forgotten removes a person from every store with a receipt.
Can trustees or volunteers use it?+
Anybody you add as a member, with their own permissions. A trustee can sit in a team that sees the finance connections and nothing else, and token allowances are set per team so the cost stays predictable.
Can it keep our supporter list up to date?+
Airtable can create and update records and add a comment once those tools are granted by name, which is how a tracker stays current. Everything else in this set reads.
Where does the data go?+
To your organisation's memory, on infrastructure Memtro operates in the United Kingdom, with credentials encrypted at rest — and to the model providers whose keys you bring, under your own terms rather than resold by us.
