Questions answered from the warehouse, with the SQL shown
Point Memtro at a read-only replica and anyone can ask the warehouse a question in plain English. The agent reads the schema, writes the query, runs it inside a read-only transaction, and shows its work.
The problem
- Every ad-hoc question becomes a ticket for the data team
- People query the wrong table because nobody documented which one is right
- Numbers get pasted into Slack with no way to reproduce them
How Memtro helps
- Schema first, then a bounded read-only query with a row cap and a timeout; the SQL is part of the answer
- Memory keeps which tables answer which questions, so the next person gets the right one
- Checks and digests run as jobs and land where people already look
Example queries
- › Revenue by segment for Q3 from the warehouse, with the SQL you used
- › How many orders shipped late last week, and which carriers were involved?
- › Which table holds payment captures, and what does the status column mean?
Jobs to schedule
- schedule: Every morning at 7, yesterday's orders, revenue and decline rate against the same day last week
- schedule: Every hour, alert if the payments table has not received a row in the last 30 minutes
Say any of these in Chat and Memtro creates the job. See Jobs.
