Postgres with Memtro

Read-only SQL over your warehouse or application database, written by the model from the schema.

Give Memtro a read-only role and the model can read the schema and run SELECT queries. In agent mode it looks at the schema first, then queries by the identifiers it found in a ticket or a CRM record.

What the model can do

  • List tables and columns across the schemas you expose
  • Run one read-only SELECT or WITH query at a time, rows capped, 20 second timeout
  • Every query runs inside a READ ONLY transaction
  • Works with warehouses, reporting replicas and application databases

How to connect

  1. 01Create a read-only role and grant SELECT on the schemas to expose
  2. 02Allow Memtro's server IP in your database firewall; use sslmode=require
  3. 03Paste the connection string on Dashboard → Connections → Postgres and name it (e.g. warehouse)

Example queries

  • › What did Sam Lee order in the last 90 days?
  • › Revenue by segment for Q3 from the warehouse
  • › Check the warehouse for duplicate payments on order 4411

Why it is better with memory

Everything the model looks up in Postgres is anchored into Memtro's memory with provenance, and agent mode cross-references what it finds against your other connected systems. The second question about a customer, ticket or deal starts further along than the first.
